From 27–30 June 2000, 59 Nobel Laureates and 647 young researchers met at Lindau for the 50th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. The 50th Lindau Meeting was the 1st interdisciplinary meeting bringing together Nobel Laureates from the fields of chemistry, physics, physiology and medicine.
