The Partner Breakfast on commercializing science explores how academic research can be translated into real-world impact, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Bringing together perspectives from organizational psychology, human-AI interaction, supply chain management, and transport/logistics, the panel highlights how different disciplines approach value creation, stakeholder engagement, and innovation scaling across various partners and organizations.
A particular focus will be placed on institutional differences in commercialization pathways, such as contrasting funding and impact requirements in different countries, as well as concrete examples of two-way knowledge transfer through industry collaborations and applied research partnerships.
Key discussion points will include how researchers can identify commercially viable ideas, collaborate effectively with industry partners, and navigate institutional constraints. The discussion will further touch on the growing role of AI as both an enabler and disruptor in bringing research to market.
