Abstract
When I reflect on what has been a satisfying career in biomedical science, mostly in the academic and governmental sectors, I see actions and events that imply the existence of principles (or “axioms”) that have affected my behavior and my work. I have found it entertaining (and perhaps useful) to identify those principles and understand their influences, although they may not be well-suited to others.
To provoke discussion with the audience during this Agora Talk, I will name ten of those principles and describe how they have affected the choices I have made and the manner in which I have worked.
