Abstract

Enzymes, molecular motors and molecular machines are complex proteins and protein complexes whose function underlies virtually all processes in living cells. Techniques to dynamically visualize and measure their function and performance at the single-molecule level have revolutionized their study while pushing the boundaries of what is physically possible. This pair of Agora lectures will highlight the latest technological and biophysical advances and discuss what can be learned about biology.
